Summer Academy Adds a Focus on Student Engagement

Summer Academy staff made updates to the summer school schedule this year to better engage students. A new elementary reading program encouraged storie and learning around the "campfire," and middle school students had the option of different activities between 2nd and 3rd hour to keep them focused.

Hilltop Elementary School 5th graders were given the option to conduct experiments at home and bring their findings back to school. Students who participated presented their research to younger students at a Mini Science Fair.
