A group of Simley High School and South St. Paul Secondary students from the TriDistrict Healthcare Careers and Medicine class will work with Simley Dean of Students, Rico Bohren, to set up a food shelf to provide food to students and families in need over weekends and other non-school days.

Simley Graduates First CNA Class
On November 26, students enrolled in Simley High School's first Certified Nursing Assistant class completed the course. Their completion of the course means they can take the state certification exam that will allow them to work if they pass.

School Board Approves Flipped Schedule for 2019-2020
During the October 22, 2018, ISD 199 School Board meeting, the board approved a flipped schedule for the district starting at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. Elementary schools will be in class 7:50 AM-2:30 PM and secondary schools will be in class 8:30 AM-3:20 PM.

Simley Principal Jerry SakalaSimley High School is a comprehensive secondary school with a student population of about 1,200 in grades 9-12. Simley is dedicated to excellence in academics, offering more than 230 required and elective trimester courses to allow students to design programs to meet their individual needs and talents.

Advanced classes are offered in mathematics, science, English, social studies, art and more. Simley students are able to select activities from a variety of athletic and fine arts programs. Special education services are available in the areas of learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, mildly/moderately mentally disabled, speech/language delays, and adapted physical education. Simley's award-winning Alternative Learning Program is a high school educational experience designed to meet the needs of students who are not successful in the traditional school setting.  more
