At a regular school board meeting on Monday, November 21, 2022, the Inver Grove Heights School Board accepted the resignation of school board member Mary Frances Clardy, effective January 1, 2023. Director Clardy submitted her resignation after being elected as the Minnesota State Representative for District 53A. Moving forward, the school board will appoint a replacement for the remaining period of Director Clardy’s term, which is set to expire in December of 2023.
Individuals interested in filling this vacancy must submit application materials in-person at the ISD 199 District Office, 2990 80th Street East in Inver Grove Heights, by 4:00 PM on Friday, December 9, 2022. Application materials must include:
All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered:
- at least 21 years of age
- eligible registered voter
- district resident of at least 30 days
- not a convicted felon or sex offender
The ISD 199 School Board will officially accept applications at a special school board meeting on Wednesday, December 21, at 5:30 PM in the ISD 199 District Office’s board room. At that meeting, each applicant will be invited to give a presentation. After the presentations are made, the school board will nominate applicants and vote until a person is selected to fill the vacancy. The final candidate will be sworn in and take office at the school board’s regular meeting on Monday, January 23, 2023.
