After a thorough review process, Inver Grove Heights Schools (ISD 199) earned the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ended 2023. The certificate from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) recognizes school districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency. This is the 19th year in a row that the district has earned this recognition.
To qualify for the certificate, ISD 199 had to submit its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report to ASBO. A team of professional auditors reviewed the report and provided feedback. ISD 199 earned the Certificate of Excellence by showing that it has used ASBO’s feedback from the previous year to increase transparency and the quality of its reporting.
“For over half a century, ASBO International’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting has been the gold standard in promoting and recognizing excellence in financial reporting,” ASBO International Executive Director Jim Rowan, CAE, SFO, said. “Communicating the financial and economic state of a district is so important when engaging with the school community and building their trust. Districts that receive the COE Award have demonstrated their ability to do that at the highest level.”

Después de un minucioso proceso de revisión, Inver Grove Heights Schools (ISD 199) obtuvo el Certificado de excelencia en informes financieros para el año fiscal que finalizó en 2023. El certificado de la Asociación Internacional de Funcionarios Comerciales Escolares (ASBO) reconoce a los distritos escolares que han cumplido con los altos estándares del programa en cuanto a informes financieros y transparencia. Este es el decimonoveno año consecutivo que el distrito obtiene este reconocimiento.
Para calificar para el certificado, ISD 199 tuvo que presentar su Informe Financiero Integral Anual a ASBO. Un equipo de auditores profesionales revisó el informe y proporcionó comentarios. ISD 199 obtuvo el Certificado de Excelencia al demostrar que ha utilizado los comentarios de ASBO del año anterior para aumentar la transparencia y la calidad de sus informes.
"Durante más de medio siglo, el Certificado de Excelencia en Informes Financieros de ASBO International ha sido el estándar de oro para promover y reconocer la excelencia en los informes financieros", dijo el director ejecutivo de ASBO International, Jim Rowan, CAE, SFO. “Comunicar el estado financiero y económico de un distrito es muy importante cuando se interactúa con la comunidad escolar y se genera su confianza. Los distritos que reciben el Premio COE han demostrado su capacidad para hacerlo al más alto nivel”.
La racha de ISD 199 de obtener el Certificado de Excelencia en Informes Financieros demuestra el trabajo continuo del distrito para apoyar el rendimiento de los estudiantes con la gestión de recursos más eficaz y mejorar su responsabilidad.
