- Students, ages 14 and older, and parents are invited to the Teen Job Fair at Kaposia Library on Wednesday, April 10, 3-6 PM. Meet with local employers who are hiring for permanent and seasonal positions!

On Friday the track and field team traveled to Mankato to compete in the Relay Championship. Overall the girls finished 4th (out of 11) and the boys finished 13th (out of 15). Top Five Finishers:
- Naomi Moore* - 1st in the 60 Hurdles
- Isaiah Wilson* - 1st in the 60 Hurdles and 4th in the High Jump
- Girls 4x200 of Naomi Moore, Alice Islam, Taylor Ralston, and Ayisat Adebayo - 1st
- Ayisat Adebayo - 3rd in the Long Jump
- Sydney Ries - 3rd in the Shot Put
- Girls Throwers 4x100 of Taylor Oster, Leah Thoemke, Sydney Ries, and Kelsi Ries - 4th
- Girls 4x800 of Megan Gullerud, Hailey Suchy, Luvia Ramirez Gonzalez, and Samary Acuna Arroliga - 4th
- Mixed 4x400 of Liban VanLeer, Semira VanLeer, Maisha Yengistic, and Tshwane Yengistic - 4th
- Girls Sprint Medley Relay of Ina Foster, Emerson Hocking, Maisy Komatsu, and Abi Lindquist - 5th
*Naomi's time of 9.48 in the 60 Hurdles established a Meet Record and Isaiah's time of 8.45 in the same event also established a Meet Record.
- The Simley Softball team racked up 2 more wins over the weekend. Friday night they traveled to Pine Island and won 15-5. Emma Seelhammer, Charli Raymond, and Taylor Gallahue all had 4 hits each, Kayla Buck had 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Bailey frank had 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Emme Webinger had 2 hits also. Charli Raymond stole three bases for the Spartans. On Saturday they defeated Duluth Denfeld 7-1 at home. Kayla Buck lead the team with 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Bailey Frank and Charli Raymond each had 2 hits. Amelia Campbell was the winning pitcher for the Spartans and struck out 10 batters. The team is now 4-0. Their next game is on Tuesday at home against North St. Paul.
- Varsity Baseball home opener today at 4:30pm has been moved to St. Thomas Academy. The B and JV Games will be rescheduled to later this week. Come out and support the team.
- Attention sophomores and juniors - Are you interested in being a Link Leader for next school year? Please fill out the application found by scanning the QR code on the flyers outside of Mr. Berg's office, the main office and Ms. Austin & Ms. Sylvester's classrooms. All new and returning Link Leaders must complete the application.
- The Student Center will be Closed All Day.
- Seniors: the online payment option for the grad fee is now CLOSED. If you still need to pay your grad fee, please do so with Ms. Sievert in the main office with either a check or cash (exact change please).
- Girls Basketball Skill Workouts start Tonight. Practices are open to Grades 6th - 12th Girls from 6pm to 7pm in the main gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of April and May.

Marching Band Rehearsal/Parade Schedule:
There are times when students miss parades and that is okay. We work with many schedules. Most of our marching band members are also in other summer and fall activities with ISD199!

Kansas City Trip Update:
Despite a smaller group, I would still like to go ahead and make this trip possible. If you forgot to indicate your student could attend, please do so now on the link below. I'm hoping to have a price point and draft itinerary out at the beginning of March. I will not be able to take all chaperones that indicated they would like to attend. When more information comes out, I will indicate who was selected.

LISTEN UP CLASS OF 2024! The Simley High School All Night Party is BACK!
When: After graduation on June 6th, 2024 from 10:30 PM - 4:30 AM at Simley High School.
Who: It is for every student in the class of 2024!
Price: $60: price includes food, games, casino, hypnotist, and prizes to be given away at the end of the night (TVs, gift cards, and more). Get your tickets now! Prices go up to $75 after May 1st.
Register by February 29th to enter into a drawing for a FREE TICKET!
For information regarding a scholarship for a ticket, please contact your student's counselor.

The All Night Party is having a fundraiser at Inver Grove Brewery on Tuesday, April 16 from 3-9 pm. They will donate 10% of all dine-in and take-out orders during that time (no flier needed). See you there!
