  • Free Open Skate Event - March 8
    Skate at the Veterans Memorial Community Center for FREE on Friday, March 8! Register for the 6-7 PM or 7-8 PM session at www.ighmn.gov/register. Hosted by Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation and IGH SPARC. Event details: www.ighsparc.org/events/sparc-open-skate

  • NHS will be sponsoring a blood drive for the American Red Cross on Friday, April 5. Registration during lunch will begin Tuesday, March 5 and go through the first week of April. You can also sign up using the QR code found on the posters that will be going up around school. Students 17 and older or 16 with parent permission are welcome to register. The Red Cross is experiencing a blood shortage right now, so please consider donating.
  • The High School Musical production of Once Upon a Mattress is looking for student musicians to play in the orchestra pit!  The first meeting for the pit will be Thursday, March 7 from 3:30-4:30 pm in the Spartan Center.  If you play an instrument and want to participate, please come to the meeting.
  • Attn Juniors: On Tuesday, March 12th you will be taking the ACT. Please plan to be here no later than 8:15am to check in. Testing will begin right at 8:30am. Any students not in the testing room at 8:30am, when the doors close, will NOT be admitted. Once testing begins you will NOT have access to your phone or backpack, even during breaks.  Rosters with your testing room location are posted on your Schoology grade level page.  Make sure to bring: Photo ID, 2 or more #2 pencils, and a calculator.
  • Please join us for a parent/player meeting for the upcoming BOYS LACROSSE season Thursday 3/7 @ 7:00PM in the SPARTAN Center, which is directly in front of the main lobby of Simley High School. All players in grades of 7th- 12th grade are welcome and encouraged, even if you have no lacrosse experience and want to learn the game. Coaches and Boosters will be sharing valuable information about the upcoming season, including captains practices and tryout dates and everything else you need to know about being part of the Simley Boys Lacrosse team.   • Interested in playing Golf this spring?   The Simley Golf Team (boys team and girls team) has their Welcome Meeting on Tuesday, March 12 in the Simley Spartan Center for all players and parents.  All interested 7th - 12th graders are welcome!   Apparel sizing at 6pm, meeting starts at 6:30pm.  Contact [email protected] with any questions.
  • Baseball practice will start on Monday, March 11. If you plan on playing, make sure to register in Infinite Campus and have an updated physical on file. Throwing and conditioning week for baseball will run from March 11-March 15. Tryouts will be March 18 & 19. If you have any questions stop by room WA225 and talk to Coach Heiderscheit.
  • Registration for the Simley Shooting sports team will open on February 1st. It is open to all students 7th-12th grade. New athletes are welcome to the team. Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays are offered on Mondays and Saturdays, the season is from late March through May. Please email [email protected] for more information.
  • Registration for tennis is now open! Sign up in the School Store or see coach Johnston for details.  Captain's practices are going on right now if you want to have some fun and try tennis!

    Join the 2023 Class B Grand Champion Simley Marching Band this summer!
    Here is a FAQ about marching band:
    YES! marching band is possible even with summer activities and a fall activity!
    Marching Band Rehearsal/Parade Schedule:
    There are times when students miss parades and that is okay. We work with many schedules. Most of our marching band members are also in other summer and fall activities with ISD199!

    Kansas City Trip Update:
    Despite a smaller group, I would still like to go ahead and make this trip possible. If you forgot to indicate your student could attend, please do so now on the link below. I'm hoping to have a price point and draft itinerary out at the beginning of March. I will not be able to take all chaperones that indicated they would like to attend. When more information comes out, I will indicate who was selected.

  • LISTEN UP CLASS OF 2024!  The Simley High School All Night Party is BACK!
    When: After graduation on June 6th, 2024 from 10:30 PM - 4:30 AM at Simley High School.
    Who:  It is for every student in the class of 2024!
    Price:  $60: price includes food, games, casino, hypnotist, and prizes to be given away at the end of the night (TVs, gift cards, and more).  Get your tickets now!  Prices go up to $75 after May 1st.

  • The All Night Party is having a fundraiser at Inver Grove Brewery on Tuesday, April 16 from 3-9 pm. They will donate 10% of all dine-in and take-out orders during that time (no flier needed). See you there!
