  • Free Open Skate Event - March 8
    Skate at the Veterans Memorial Community Center for FREE on Friday, March 8! Register for the 6-7 PM or 7-8 PM session at www.ighmn.gov/register. Hosted by Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation and IGH SPARC. Event details: www.ighsparc.org/events/sparc-open-skate
  • Congratulations to the Gymnastics team for being the Conference Champions and Section 4A runner-up champions! At the state gymnastics tournament this weekend... 

    Ashley Lynner had a personal best on vault with a 9.2.

    Emerson Hocking had a sticky beam routine and scored a 9.3 on vault.

    Lucy Pentilla had a personal best on vault, floor, and in the All-Around.  

    Lucy placed 6th in the All-Around and 2nd on bars! 

    Mrs. Walsh and the team need help with the gym breakdown today after school.

  • Congratulations to the Boys swimming and diving team for their outstanding Section meet performances. Points scorers were: Jaxon Wanek placed 7th in the 200 free & 13th in the 100 fly ; Shilah Smolinski placed 5th in the 200 free & 8th in the 500 free; Collin Momper placed 16th in the 200IM & 15th in the 100 breaststroke; Christian Jack placed 4th in the 200IM & 4th in the 100 back; Vincent Evangelista placed 3rd in the 200IM & 5th in the 100 back; Carter Kline placed 16th in the 50 free & 5th in the 1-meter diving; Alec Schloesser placed 10th in the 1-meter diving; Fernando Madrid Pina placed 8th in the 1-meter diving; Angel Esparza placed 14th in the 100 fly & 12th in the 100 back; Hayden Geffre placed 12th in the 100 free; Carter Bedell placed 15th in the 500 free; the team of Vincent Evangelista, Collin Momper, Christian Jack, and Carter Kline placed 6th in the 200 Medley Relay, the team of Jaxon Wanek, Hayden Geffre, Carter Kline, and Shilah Smolinski placed 7th in the 200 Free Relay, and the team of Christian Jack, Vincent Evangelista, Shilah Smolinski & Hayden Geffre placed 4th in the 400 free relay.  A special congratulations to Vincent Evangelista who qualified for the State Championship taking place at noon this Friday at the University of Minnesota.
  • There will be a Student Fan Bus going to the State Wrestling Tournament on Thursday, 2/29 at the Xcel Energy Center.  The bus will leave school at 8:30am and return at 11:30am.  If your student is attending, you must call them out with Attendance.
  • SAVE THE DATE! Mallards Dine Out Night.  Help support the Simley Softball program on Tuesday February 27th, 4-8PM at Mallards in IGH. 10% of the proceeds from dine in and take out will go to the softball program. Just mention the fundraiser for Simley Softball when ordering.
  • Registration for the Simley Shooting sports team will open on February 1st. It is open to all students 7th-12th grade. New athletes are welcome to the team. Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays are offered on Mondays and Saturdays, the season is from late March through May. Please email [email protected] for more information.

    Join the 2023 Class B Grand Champion Simley Marching Band this summer!
    Here is a FAQ about marching band:
    YES! marching band is possible even with summer activities and a fall activity!
    Marching Band Rehearsal/Parade Schedule:
    There are times when students miss parades and that is okay. We work with many schedules. Most of our marching band members are also in other summer and fall activities with ISD199!

    Kansas City Trip Update:
    Despite a smaller group, I would still like to go ahead and make this trip possible. If you forgot to indicate your student could attend, please do so now on the link below. I'm hoping to have a price point and draft itinerary out at the beginning of March. I will not be able to take all chaperones that indicated they would like to attend. When more information comes out, I will indicate who was selected.

    When: After graduation on June 6th, 2024 from 10:30 pm-4:00 am at Simley High School. 

    Who: it is for EVERYONE in the class of 2024!
