  • Simley BSU is holding a snack sale this week! Snacks will be sold this week after school in front of the Spartan Center. Snacks included are chips, candy, drinks, fruit snacks and more! Check out the SimleyBSU Instagram for more details on pre orders!

  • Congratulations to the Boys Swimming & Diving team for their 100-71 win against North St. Paul last night.  Individual winners were: Hayden Geffre won the 200 free; Shilah Smolinski won the 200 IM & the 100 free; Vincent Evangelista won the 50 free & the 500 free; Carter Kline won the 1-meter diving & the 100 breaststroke; Jared Padaong won the 100 butterfly; and Christian Jack won the 100 backstroke; Simley won all 3 relays with the team of Vincent Evangelista, Shilah Smolinski, Christian Jack, and Carter Kline winning the 200 Medley Relay; the team of Angel Esparza, Vincent Evangelista, Hayden Geffre, and Fernando Madrid Pina winning the 200 Free Relay; and the team of Hayden Geffre, Peder Early, Jared Padaong, and Kayden Carriere winning the 400 Free Relay.  The Spartans next meet is next Thursday against Tartan at 6 p.m. at Tartan.
  • The gymnastics team won their meet last night scoring a team season-best score of 136.075, while So.St. Paul had 106. 775.  The top finishers were:

    Lucy Pentilla-1st on bars with a 9.25 and 1st in the All-round with a 35.00.  3rd on vault, beam, and floor.  

    Emerson Hocking- 1st on vault and beam, 2nd on bars and floor with a 9.15

    Ashley Lynner took 1st on floor with a 9.225, 2nd on beam and vault, and 3rd on bars. 

    The team will have a home meet next Thursday at 6pm.  Come on out and chuck a duck on the balance beam or try a handstand contest.  Catch the excitement as this team gains steam and sets records!

  • The Simley High School One Act Play, A Dollar, will be performing at Burnsville High School on Wednesday, January 24th at 5:35 P.M.  The Community performance will be on Saturday, January 27th at 8:00 P.M. and Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 P.M.  The ticket prices for the community performance are donation only.  Please come and cheer on the Simley Theatre Performers and Crew!

  • Seniors, you have until February 1st to submit your materials for the Yearbook. Be sure to submit at least a senior photo before the 1st. Also remember to do the Hall of Fame survey. We want ALL seniors in the yearbook and ALL seniors to vote for the Hall of Fame.

  • Students in clubs and groups, January 30th is Club Photo Day. All clubs and groups will be called to the Spartan Center throughout the day to take a group photo. Please talk to your club advisor or look at the posters around the school for the schedule.

  • Student Center closed Wednesday-Friday

  •  Captain's practice for baseball will run on Sundays from 10am-noon in AB gym. If you have any questions or are considering playing baseball this year, please stop by Mr Heiderscheit's office in room WA224

  • There is less than 2 weeks left to apply for a Wallin 4-year scholarship! This scholarship is only for seniors at one of the 70 partner high schools in Minnesota and Simley is now one of those schools! To be eligible you must have a 3.0 GPA, financial need, and attend a public or private 4-year college in the region or a HBCU. This is a proven college completion program so not only will you receive $16,000 over 4-years but also professional advising and additional career opportunities. Last year, over 325 students, around 40% of those who applied, received a scholarship, so don't miss out on this great opportunity. Deadline is February 1st.     The Simley High School All Night Party is BACK!!!

    When: After graduation on June 6th, 2024 from 10:30 pm-4:00 am at Simley High School. 

    Who: it is for EVERYONE in the class of 2024!

    Price: $60: price includes Food, Games, Casino, Hypnotist, and prizes to be given away at the end of the night (TVs, gift cards, and more!)

  • Post-referendum Survey for Voters: If you voted on ISD 199's 199 Future Ready Referendum questions on November 7, 2023, we want to hear from you! Click here for our anonymous Post-referendum Survey, January 8-21. 
  • International club will be hosting a cultural fashion show on February 1st from 4:00-6:00 pm after school. You can share your culture with our school through dancing, singing, or walking the runway. There will be QR codes on posters around the school to fill out a Google form. It must be filled out. The dress rehearsal will be on January 30th from 3:30-5:00 pm and is required. Volunteers are also very much appreciated. There will be a $3 raffle for a chance to win a yearbook and a prom ticket. We would love all of you guys to come and share some culture! For any questions you can email Ms Reyes or contact International Club's Instagram.
  • Registration for the Simley Shooting sports team will open on February 1st. It is open to all students 7th-12th grade. New athletes are welcome to the team. Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays are offered on Mondays and Saturdays, the season is from late March through May. Please email [email protected] for more information.
