  • With Halloween coming up, just a few reminders about dressing up at school:  Simley’s dress policy will be enforced. No masks or makeup (or anything that disguises the identity of the student), chains, real or look-alike weapons, or anything else that could disrupt the educational day.  We expect students to be respectful of the rules and of each other.  Any issues with costumes will be handled by an administrator immediately, and the appropriate discipline will be assigned.
  • Fall athletes:  please turn in your lock and clean out your locker in the athletic locker room this week.  If you do not do so, all locks will be removed on Friday November 3rd.  If you are going to be in a winter sport and need to keep your locker, please talk to Mr. Kissling or Ms. Ekstam.

  • College visits: 

    Macalester College will be here tomorrow at 9:25 AM and Bemidji State will be here Wednesday at 10:20 AM. Sign-up with Ms. Kimble or by using the QR codes around the Student Center.
  • If you are taking the PSAT tomorrow, please be in the IMC by 8:30 AM. If you are taking the PSAT and have not yet completed the required digital readiness check, you must attend the mandatory meeting in the student center TODAY at 9 AM to get this completed.
  •  Attention all Girls and Boys that are interested in Simley Wrestling. There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday Nov. 1st at 3:30PM in the High School Cafeteria. The meeting will cover registration, practice and meet schedules and all other important information. Come meet the coaches and be  a part of the great tradition of Simley Wrestling. If you can’t make the meeting please contact Coach Kissling or Coach Short.
  • Attn Volleyball Players:  The lifetouch photo proofs have arrived and are in the Activities office.  Please pick them up from Missy anytime between 7:30-3:30.
  • Simley Boys Basketball will be holding a preseason meeting for both parents and students (9th – 12th) Today from 6pm- 6:30pm at the Spartan Center.  If you plan to try out for the 23-24 season, please plan to attend.   • Simley girls basketball captains practice starts this week in the main gym 10/30 - 11/2 and 11/6 - 11/9 at 3:45.  If you plan to try out please make sure you have your registration completed by 11/6.
  • For Wednesday's 3rd hour mini-lesson, all students will need to bring your planner. Make sure you have your planner with you and if you need to get another planner, please email or see Ms Brown.

  • Vote on or Before November 7

    If you haven’t voted yet, please be sure to vote on or before Election Day, November 7. Click here for more information about voting. Early voting is open now. Voters may register at their Election Day polling place with an ID and proof of residency.  In this election, there are two important questions that will impact Inver Grove Heights Schools. Please visit isd199.org/199futureready for information about our 199 Future Ready referendum and www.isd199.org/elections for information about the school board race. Thank you for making an informed decision!  
  •  Students, who have a parking permit, are only allowed to park in the student lot, on the west side of the building near the baseball fields. No students are permitted to park in the staff lot, located in the front of the building.   
  • The Simley Nordic Ski Team is a great way to spend the winter months getting outside, improving fitness and being with friends.  Nordic (cross country) skiing is open to all students grades 7-12.  No experience needed. Workouts are individualized so every skier can feel good about practices and meets.  Registration is now open.  Please email Coach Heath Anderson [email protected] with any questions. 
  • Seniors: Your senior photo, baby photo, and senior quote are due December 1st. An email with more information was sent to you this morning. Please check your school email or talk to Ms. Hensch for more info.
  • The Simley Baseball team is having a fundraiser at IGH Brewing on November 6. Please come support the team.
  • The Simley Boys Tennis Team is having a fundraiser at IGH Brewing on November 7.  Please come and support the team.
