Interested in joining the 2023-2024 Winter Competitive Dance Team? Winter Competitive Team tryouts will take place on Monday, October 23rd from 5:30-6:30pm & 6:45-7:45pm and on Tuesday, October 24th from 3:45-4:45 pm. Team Placement will take place on Tuesday, October 24th after the first practice. If you are currently in grades 6-12, you are welcome to try out. PTSA Conference Teacher Appreciation Meal: It's time to feed our hardworking teachers during conferences! Please sign up here to bring some food on Tuesday, October 17th. Our teachers so appreciate this event on a long day of teaching and conferences. If you have any questions please reach out to Kate Skappel [email protected]. See the link for an option to donate funds toward the meal if you aren't interested in making any food.

IGHMS PTSA has a few other volunteer opportunities and events in the next few weeks:
1. October 10, 5-8 PM – SAVE THE DATE for our Dine Out Night at Dairy Queen. Dairy Queen’s will give back 10% of sales donated for anyone that mentions the fundraiser.
2. October 16 and 17, 4-7:30 PM BOOK FAIR during conferences! Please consider volunteering and definitely stop by to stock up on books for your students!

3. November 10, 6-8 PM - 6th Grade Party – THREE WAYS to help out: We need donations of $5 gift cards to local businesses to be raffled off to students at the party, we would appreciate any monetary donations to help pull off a great party, and lastly WE WILL NEED MANY VOLUNTEERS the night of the event to make it a safe and fun night for the students. (SignUpGenius to follow after we get through conferences – for now save the date to help out!). If interested in joining the planning committee, please contact [email protected].

Like to swim? The Boys’ Swimming & Diving M.S. H.S. teams are having a short Informational MEETING on Tuesday. Oct. 10th at 3:45 p.m. in *Middle School lunchroom* The teams are open to all boys 6-12th grade. This meeting is a chance to meet the team and coaches and get all the paperwork your son will need to join a school sport. The Boys’ Swimming & Diving Season is a winter sport and begins Monday, Nov. 27th. NOTE: this meeting is for the athletes. Parents are more than welcome to attend, but they do not need to attend this meeting. There is a parent’s meeting scheduled for Nov. 28th. To get more specific information about the season (practice & meet schedules and calendars) please email Coach Lynn Newton at [email protected]

Parents and Guardians- Attendance Notification News!
We now have an ATTENDANCE EMAIL. Parents/Guardians, you can now use email to notify IGHMS about student absences.
Please email us at [email protected]. Please make sure to add your students name, grade, and the reason for the absence. These emails can only come from the legal parent/guardians listed in Campus.
If preferred, parents and guardians can still call the attendance line at 651-306-7878.

Dear Parents & Families of School District 199 Students in Grades K-8,
All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult to sports events. Any student not accompanied by an adult will be turned away at the door.
