The construct tomorrow field trip is tomorrow! Today is your last day to get permission slips turned in to Ms. Kimble to attend! The bus will leave at 8:45 from the main entrance.

The Student Center is closed hours 1-5 today.

On May 12, 2023 from 9am to 2pm in the North Gym, NHS and Student Council will be sponsoring a blood drive. Students 17 and older and staff can register during any lunch on Mondays and Wednesdays from April 17-May 10 OR by clicking the QR code on the posters hung up around school. The Red Cross is in need of blood, so please consider being a donor!

Due to the weather, the Tennis meet for today against Saint Paul Johnson has been rescheduled and there will be no practice either today.

The Simley Boys Golf team opened its season on the road with shockingly sunny skies and playable temperatures at Oak Marsh Golf Club defeating host Tartan and rival South St. Paul. The Spartans captains led the way with senior Joey Stanton carding a solid 37. Stanton showed great grit after flailing a seven iron off the first tee 70 yards to the right to battle for bogey and come back with a birdie on the second hole. Fellow captains senior Caden Renslow followed with a smooth 38 and putting honors for the day, while junior Justin Orn gutted out a hard-fought 39 with his putter misbehaving. Senior Carl Lane rounded out the scoring for Simley with merely the best varsity round of his career with a matching 39. A team score of 153 is a great score any time, but it is especially good on opening day.
At the first home meet of the year, the JV track and field team showed up and took the track and field by storm.  This meet provided many young and new JV athletes a chance to shine and also provided the opportunity for some varsity athletes to try a new event. Top Finishers for the Spartans Were:

  • Naomi Moore - 1st in the 100 and 1st in Long Jump
  • Angelin Nalitan - 1st in the High Jump and 5th in the 400
  • Taylor Ralston - 1st in the Triple Jump
  • Samary Acuna Arroliga - 2nd in the 800 and 2nd in Pole Vault
  • Lana Oduwaiye - 2nd in the Triple Jump
  • Taylor Oster - 2nd in the Discus and 3rd in Shot Put
  • Hailey Suchy - 2nd in the High Jump
  • Leah Thoemke - 2nd in the Pole Vault
  • Nik Abrahamson - 3rd in the 800
  • Alice Islam - 3rd in the 800
