Attention All Students-

Students are expected to be in class until the bell rings each class period. We will be actively supporting students who are caught leaving early. Please stay in class until you are released by the bell. Thank you for making this a priority.


Attention all 9th through 11th grade students. Today in your social studies class, you will have registration for next year's courses presented to you. 

It is very important that you pay attention and put time and effort into selecting the appropriate courses and rigor of your courses for next year.

A link to all of the registration resources will be available in your grade level schoology page under updates, so you will have access to everything you need to register. 


The Gymnastics team took 3rd place at their section 4A meet on Saturday.  The team scored their season best of 135.8 and qualified 4 gymnasts to the state gymnastics meet on Saturday night at Roy Wilkens starting at 6pm.  

The following gymnasts qualified for state with their place in the events:

Emerson Hocking took, 9th on floor, 8th in the All-Around, and  3rd on vault. Emi will represent Simley at State on the vault!

Ashley Lynner took 7th in the All-Around, 7th on vault and 3rd on Floor.  Ash will represent Simley at state on the Floor!

Alexa Lynner took 8th on floor, 6th All-Around, 5th on beam 5th on vault.  Lex will represent Simley at State on beam and vault!

Lucy Pentilla took 10th on floor, 4th on vault, 4th on beam, 2nd in the All-Around, and was the section 4A Champion on Bars. Lucy will represent Simley on all four events of vault, bars, beam and floor!  

Our individual qualifiers will compete on Saturday at Roy Wilkens at 6pm.

Simley Cross Country is having a plant sale with Gertens to raise funds for their 2023 season.  Please visit: www.gertensfundraising.com and enter store ID code 712.  Plants will be ready for pick up Monday May 1 in time for Mother's Day and Spring planting!  We will be grateful for your participation with this fundraiser!

The Simley High School All Night Party is BACK!!!
What it is: The All Night Party is held after graduation on June 8th, 2022 from 10:30pm-4:30am at Simley High School. This is a great night of fun with your class after graduation.
Who it is for: EVERYONE in the class of 2023!
Price: $60: price includes Food, Games, Casino, Hypnotist and prizes to be given away at the end of the night (Tv's, gift cards and more!)

Attention players that plan to join the boy’s or girl’s soccer teams for Fall 2023: We are kicking off our Gertens plant and plant card fundraiser on February 13! This fundraiser helps raise funds for the boosters that go towards uniforms, equipment and events during the season. You can also earn money towards your booster fee by participating. 8th Grade Parent Night
Save the date for 8th Grade Parent Night on Wednesday, February 22. Starting at 6:00 PM, Simley High School staff will provide information to incoming families, answer their questions, and give them a tour of the school. Did you see the robotics team at the pep fest last week? It's not too late to join! The season is still going on and we're getting ready for our regional competition at the end of March. We're looking for people to help build the robot and problem solve through the design process. No prior experience necessary, all are welcome! See Mr. Fisher or a current team member for more information. Please come Dine-In or Take Out at IGH Brewing on Tuesday, March 7th from 4pm to Close for a good cause-to Support the Simley Tennis Team.  Go Spartans!


Free Open Skate Event - March 10

Stop by Veterans Memorial Community Center on Friday, March 10, for a FREE Open Skate event for families in Inver Grove Heights and ISD 199 schools! Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation and IGH SPARC will host the event from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Event details: www.ighsparc.org/events/sparc-open-skate
Dakota Soccer Club is looking for a few more male soccer players for summer 2023!!  Players from the following birth years are needed: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. We currently have teams at these ages but just need a few more players to fill out the rosters. The DSC competitive soccer program officially begins in March (but some teams are training now) with indoor training and runs through June. Practices are held indoors 1 to 2 times a week for March-April, and then move outside during May-June (up to 2-3 times per week). Summer schedule includes 8 to 10 games. Costs range from U9-U10 ($360), U11-U14 ($515), U15+ ($575) plus uniform costs.  For more information or to register, visit www.dakotasc.org.

Did you know that breakfast is free for all students everyday?  While we have returned to paying for lunch, breakfast is still free for everyone.  Stop by the to-go cart in the commons or go directly to the cafeteria each day before school to pick up your breakfast and feed your brain for the morning.  If you need help paying for lunch, please complete the educational benefits application, which can be done on the parent portal or on a form found in the guidance office.

Bus Drivers Needed! ISD 199 is looking for more bus drivers and bus driver subs! Before and after school shifts are available, 4 hours per day are guaranteed, up to $23.25 per hour plus paid training, and full benefits at 25 hours per week. Learn more and apply at www.isd199.org/careers
