The 7th & 8th grade party, brought to you by the PTSA, is getting closer! Party is on February 24th from 6-8 PM in Gyms A, B and C. Tickets are $5, cash only, and must be purchased in advance in the cafeteria during lunch on February 21 and 23. We are still taking donations of $5 gift cards to be raffled off and/or you can send money via Venmo (@A-L-Oster-16) to supplement the party budget-please send any donations to the school office in an envelope marked "7th/8th grade party". The Sign Up Genius to volunteer the night of the event is now live and can be found here for parents wishing to give their time to help make this a successful event. Free Open Skate Event - March 10
Stop by Veterans Memorial Community Center on Friday, March 10, for a FREE Open Skate event for families in Inver Grove Heights and ISD 199 schools! Interested in playing a high school varsity sport as a 7th or 8th grader? Try tennis this spring!!! There will be a 30 minute boys tennis meeting on Thursday, February 16th at 3:30pm in the cafeteria. Includes info on the season, gathering player info and uniform sizes, and details on captains practice in the coming weeks. Girls are also eligible if they weren't able to compete during the girls season. during the fall.

8th Grade Parent Night
Save the date for 8th Grade Parent Night on Wednesday, February 22. Starting at 6:00 PM, Simley High School staff will provide information to incoming families, answer their questions, and give them a tour of the school. Parents and Guardians- Attendance Notification News!
We now have an ATTENDANCE EMAIL. Parents/Guardians, you can now use email to notify IGHMS about student absences.
Please email us at [email protected]. Please make sure to add your students name, grade, and the reason for the absence. These emails can only come from the legal parent/guardians listed in Campus.
If preferred, parents and guardians can still call the attendance line at 651-306-7878.

Dear Parents & Families of School District 199 Students in Grades K-8,
All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult to sports events. Any student not accompanied by an adult will be turned away at the door.
