Congratulations to the Simley Math Team for their 4th place finish in the final math meet of the year.  A special congratulations to Alan Franklin, the top scorer for this year's team.
Did you see the robotics team at the pep fest last week? It's not too late to join! The season is still going on and we're getting ready for our regional competition at the end of March. We're looking for people to help build the robot and problem solve through the design process. No prior experience necessary, all are welcome! See Mr. Fisher or a current team member for more information.


"Are you interested in acting, tech, or aliens? Come join the spring play, All's Well In Roswell! Auditions will be held Today after school in the PAC. Show up to the auditions to join the acting cast or sign up for the tech crew. It'll be out of this world."


"There will be a parent/athlete meeting for new and returning athletes Wednesday, February 15th 6-8pm at the PAC.  Registration is open for trap, sporting clays and skeet. The last day for registration is March 13th. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.”

Interested in playing tennis? There will be a 30 minute boys tennis meeting on Thursday, February 16th at 3:30pm in the cafeteria. Includes info on the season, gathering player info and uniform sizes, and details on captains practice in the coming weeks. Girls are also eligible if they weren't able to compete during the girls season, during the fall.  Remember Tennis meeting Thursday the 16th at 3:30

  "If you like competitive gaming, then you are in luck! Simley High School is now officially part of the Minnesota Varsity eSports League. Games include: Chess, Fortnite, Valorant, Minecraft PvP, Super Smash Bros, Smite, League of Legends and Rocket League. There is a booster fee only for competitive play in State Tournaments. Local Tournaments are free.  If you are interested, please contact Mr. Cisneros.  Practice is on Wednesdays after school.

Do you have any photos of you and your friends at school events? School events include: dances, sports, band and choir concerts, theater events, club events, classes, and anything else associated with Simley. Please email any photos you have to Ms. Hensch ASAP for the Yearbook. We want all students to be represented in the yearbook.

Seniors! The B.E.S.T. Scholarship Foundation application is now open! The B.E.S.T. Scholarship Foundation scholarships are ONLY for Simley students and there are over 100 scholarships to be awarded to the class of 2023. There is only one application to complete to be considered and scholarships are available for students going to technical, community, or 4-year schools. Attention players that plan to join the boy’s or girl’s soccer teams for Fall 2023: We are kicking off our Gertens plant and plant card fundraiser on February 13! This fundraiser helps raise funds for the boosters that go towards uniforms, equipment and events during the season. You can also earn money towards your booster fee by participating. 8th Grade Parent Night
Save the date for 8th Grade Parent Night on Wednesday, February 22. Starting at 6:00 PM, Simley High School staff will provide information to incoming families, answer their questions, and give them a tour of the school. Free Open Skate Event - March 10

Stop by Veterans Memorial Community Center on Friday, March 10, for a FREE Open Skate event for families in Inver Grove Heights and ISD 199 schools! Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation and IGH SPARC will host the event from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Event details: www.ighsparc.org/events/sparc-open-skate
Dakota Soccer Club is looking for a few more male soccer players for summer 2023!!  Players from the following birth years are needed: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. We currently have teams at these ages but just need a few more players to fill out the rosters. The DSC competitive soccer program officially begins in March (but some teams are training now) with indoor training and runs through June. Practices are held indoors 1 to 2 times a week for March-April, and then move outside during May-June (up to 2-3 times per week). Summer schedule includes 8 to 10 games. Costs range from U9-U10 ($360), U11-U14 ($515), U15+ ($575) plus uniform costs.  For more information or to register, visit www.dakotasc.org.

Did you know that breakfast is free for all students everyday?  While we have returned to paying for lunch, breakfast is still free for everyone.  Stop by the to-go cart in the commons or go directly to the cafeteria each day before school to pick up your breakfast and feed your brain for the morning.  If you need help paying for lunch, please complete the educational benefits application, which can be done on the parent portal or on a form found in the guidance office.

Bus Drivers Needed! ISD 199 is looking for more bus drivers and bus driver subs! Before and after school shifts are available, 4 hours per day are guaranteed, up to $23.25 per hour plus paid training, and full benefits at 25 hours per week. Learn more and apply at www.isd199.org/careers
