Snow Week is February 6-10th. The dress up days for the week are:

  • Monday: Zoom Day (fancy on the top and comfy on the bottom)
  • Tuesday: Teacher/Student Swap Day
  • Wednesday: Beach Vs. Blizzard (wear your best summer or winter attire)
  • Thursday: Class Color Day (9th grade white, 10th grade red, 11th grade blue, 12th Black)

The Snowball Dance is Friday, February 10th from 6:30-9:30 in the cafeteria. Tickets are now on sale. To buy a ticket go to gofan.co and search Simley High School. You can also scan the QR Code on the posters put up around the school. Tickets are $5 and will be $10 the day of the dance. 

The student center is CLOSED 1st hour


The Simley Gymnastics team traveled to the Rodgers I12 team Invitational.  The winning team was St. Michael Albertville and the Spartans placed 6th with a 133.3. Outstanding highlights were:

Emerson Hocking - Successfully completed her Tsukahara on vault, placing 6th by remaining steady under pressure on Beam and setting a new personal best in the All-Around and placing 9th. 

Ashley Lynner - Setting a new personal best on bars, and placing 7th on an excellent Floor routine.

Lucy Pentilla - took 8th place in the All-Around and for the 2nd time this week, she broke the School record scoring a 9.45 on Bars.

This week will be the last home meet for the gymnastics team, so if you haven't seen them in action this is your chance to come out and support the team and our seniors. The meet is on Thursday at 6pm in the north gym.


Choir will be selling carnations for $3 and roses for $5 to be delivered on Valentines Day. Orders can be placed during lunch from Feb 1-7. 


Tuesday night will be “Flamin’ Hot” at Simley Boys Basketball (7 pm at home).  Watch the boys take on North and the first 100 fans get to enjoy free flaming hot snacks. WEAR RED!!!!

Calling on  ALL Parents we are having an ALL NIGHT SENIOR PARTY kick off meeting to start planning for the All Night party for the Class of 2023!  This is open to ALL High School Parents. Underclassman parents are encouraged to get involved so senior parents can enjoy their final days with their graduates.

Attention all AP students:

If you did not register to take your AP exam and you wish you would have, you are in luck! 

We will be re-opening AP exam registration until February 5th. This is one final opportunity to register to take your AP exam, so take advantage and get signed up. Parents can sign up and pay for exams in their parent portal. 

There will be an ACT Prep Class at Simley Wednesdays from Feb 1 to Mar 8, 5:45-8:45 pm.  All juniors will have the opportunity to take the ACT, free of charge, on March 7, 2023. Students will register for the exam in their English class a few weeks prior to the exam.  This affordable ACT preparatory course helps students perform their very best. ISD 199 Winter Weather Procedures

ISD 199 will have two weather-related non-school days before Flex Learning days are declared and students continue classwork from home. On the third Snow or Cold Day of the school year, Flex Learning days will begin. Click here for information about Flex Learning Days.

School closures will be announced in an automated phone call, texts to families who have opted into receiving text messages, a post on the district website and social media accounts, and announcements through local television and radio stations. Did you see the robot at lunch last week? The robotics team has just officially started there season this past weekend. Join us to see what it's all about! From programming and building to marketing and electronics, we have something for everyone. All are welcome, no experience necessary. Meet after school in EA-109.
Free Community Event on February 1

IGH families and neighbors are invited to the IGH Spartan Prevention, Advocacy, and Resource Coalition’s free community event featuring motivational speaker Cory Greenwood on February 1! Cory's funny, heartfelt stories are a great way for families to connect about mental health, decision-making, and more. Click here for event details.

Did you know that breakfast is free for all students everyday?  While we have returned to paying for lunch, breakfast is still free for everyone.  Stop by the to-go cart in the commons or go directly to the cafeteria each day before school to pick up your breakfast and feed your brain for the morning.  If you need help paying for lunch, please complete the educational benefits application, which can be done on the parent portal or on a form found in the guidance office.


Bus Drivers Needed!
ISD 199 is looking for more bus drivers and bus driver subs! Before and after school shifts are available, 4 hours per day are guaranteed, up to $23.25 per hour plus paid training, and full benefits at 25 hours per week. Learn more and apply at www.isd199.org/careers
