Student  Center closed  hours 1-4. 


Thomas Lorentz won 5th place in JV Lincoln Douglas Debate this week. The Spartans were a Small, but Mighty Group at Sections Swim Finals on Friday at Two Rivers.  Simley had swimmers in all events in Finals with the exception of one event.  There were 13 Seasonal and Personal Best Times achieved at this meet from Wednesday's Prelims Meet!  Simley placed 7th overall in an extremely tough Section!

CONGRATULATIONS to Stella Anderson Moye and Madeline Ngo in qualifying for State!  Both Swimmers achieved the State Qualifying Times in their events and will be representing Simley at the State Meet on Thursday at the U of MN.

All students planning on attending the Football Game must purchase Tickets, which can be found online at mshsl.org.  Students must show proof of ticket purchase in order to sign up for Student Bus.  Sign up is in the Activities Office.

Are you interested in joining the BOYS SWIMMING AND DIVING team? 9th-12th Grade Season begins Monday, Nov. 28th.  No one “sits on the bench” during games and there are no cuts from the team. To get more specific information about the season (practice & meet schedules and calendars) please email Coach Lynn Newton at [email protected] Want to perform? Want to inform? Join the Speech Team! Information meeting in MS 2005, Ms. Anderson's room, Nov 29th after school. Open to grades 7-12!
Boys basketball 9th grade Tryouts will be 11/14-11/16 from 3:45-5:45 in the Middle School Gym.  Parents and students will register for winter sports through the Infinite Campus portal. MUST REGISTER BY 11/11/22 to be eligible to tryout.

The Student Council will be extending the annual fall food drive to Friday, November 18th. Therefore, please continue to bring donations to your first hour classes until Friday. The class with the most donations wins donuts and juice. 


Parent Communications Survey Opportunity Through This Friday
Effective communication between our school district and our parents is vitally important. Please take a few minutes to complete this parent communication survey by November 18 to help us identify improvements.


Repeat Announcements Do you have school spirit and want to be a part of a team who can lift you up? Are you interested in joining the Simley High School Cheer team? If you are, find the sign-up sheets outside Ms. Coryell's and Ms. Ekstam's offices to let them know you are interested in learning more. The sign-up sheets will be available until this Friday! An informational meeting will be held in the near future.
Seniors, the deadline is approaching to order your cap and gown for graduation. Schedule your senior meeting with your counselor so you do not miss this deadline.
Eat out to support the Simley Boys Swim & Dive Team on Tuesday, November 15th from 3-10pm at IGH Brewing.  IGH Brewing will give 10% of all sales (except giftcards) between 3:00 - 10:00 PM to the boys swim and dive team! No flyer necessary! Tell your friends and family!  You can eat in person, order online or purchase merchandise - it all counts toward the 10%.

If you are interested in a career in Computer Science it is never too early to start! Come to the Simley Computer Science informational meeting next Tuesday, November 15th at 8:00am in the Pub Lab (WA119). Some things we will do are learn about how websites are developed, how computers function, and the basics of computer programming. Ask Ms. Schwanz if you have any questions!

Reminder-Blankets are not allowed to be worn at school for health and safety reasons.  Students are encouraged to dress in layers as some learning spaces vary in temperature.  

Are you looking for something to do this winter (December thru April) and are not participating in any winter athletics or programs? Do you like computer programming and coding? How about designing a web page, T-shirt or a logo? Maybe you like pneumatics, drive trains and welding and designing a vehicle? If you said yes to any of these, maybe FIRST Robotics is for you. There will be a meeting, pre-season, this Wednesday in room EA109 from 3:30 to 4:30. No experience necessary, just the willingness to learn, have fun and be part of a team.  If you are interested but cannot make the meeting, Call 651-306-7110, e-mail [email protected] or stop by Mr. Fisher's room and let him know.

Seniors-This is a reminder that the Yearbook needs key information from you for the Yearbook. The main things needed are your senior photo, baby photo, and your senior quote. All of these things are due  December 1st.
