AP students! Don't forget to register for your AP exam! Deadline is THIS FRIDAY, November 4th. Remember, you must join your course on your College Board account using the join code from your AP teacher AND you must pay for your exam through the Infinite Campus store which is accessed by a parent/guardian. An exam will not be ordered for you if you do not complete both steps! 

 

College visits- 

St. Cloud State University will be here on Thursday, November 3rd at 1:35 PM. 

National Guard will be in the lunchroom today and the Air Force will be here Thursday in the lunchroom. Attention all boys 9th-12th grade interested in playing high school hockey this season. There will be a brief meeting Sunday, November 6th @ 6:00pm to discuss tryouts and the upcoming season.  Also a reminder that captains practices started Monday, October 31st and run Monday-Friday for two weeks from 4:00-5:20pm. Registration with the  BLC and School Infinite Campus (includes a current physical) are required to participate. Email Coach Kryzer ([email protected]) for more information.

 

Attention all girls and boys that are interested in joining the Simley Wrestling team. There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, November 2nd at 3:30PM in the High School Cafeteria. This meeting will cover all aspects of the 2022-23 wrestling season. If you have any questions see Coach Short or Coach Kissling for more information. 

Attention girls interested in joining the Simley Spartan gymnastics team, please attend a meeting after school on Wednesday, November 2.  Please meet Coach Walsh by the High school North gym. 

Girls High School Basketball Captains Practice begins this week : Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:45-5:15 in the main gym.  Contact [email protected] or one of your captains with questions. Simley Nordic will hold an informational meeting for students interested in Nordic skiing outside of the ski room on Friday, Nov 4th at 3:30 pm.  All students grades 7-12 are welcome, no experience needed.  We offer fitness, fun and friends.  Make winter great!  Please email Coach Anderson if you are interested, but can't attend the meeting.  Is your son interested in joining the BOYS SWIMMING AND DIVING team? 9th-12th Grade Season begins Monday, Nov. 28th.  No one “sits on the bench” during games and there are no cuts from the team. The annual Student Council food drive will occur next week  (Monday, November 7 through Friday, November 11). We ask that you collect non-perishable food items or monetary donations in your first hour class for Neighbors, Incorporated and our Simley community. The first hour class with the most points donations per student in the class will receive donuts and juice on Monday, November 15.

Math team members, please stop by Mr. Gingerich's room (WA 226) to pick up information about our meet next Monday, November 7th.

Repeat Announcements: Attention seniors: Please schedule your senior meeting with your counselor. The only way to order your cap and gown is by having your senior meeting so it is very important that you schedule your meeting. Reminder-Blankets are not allowed to be worn at school for health and safety reasons.  Students are encouraged to dress in layers as some learning spaces vary in temperature. 

Basketball Open Gym - Must present Student ID at door to attend. Students without Simley ID's will not be able to enter the gym. Open Gym is only for Simley students only.

Attention German Club members! There will be a meeting at 8:10am this Friday in Mr. Mitchell's room. Bring your clothing design ideas to share with the group.
Are you looking for something to do this winter (December thru April) and are not participating in any winter athletics or programs? Do you like computer programming and coding? How about designing a web page, T-shirt or a logo? Maybe you like pneumatics, drive trains and welding and designing a vehicle? If you said yes to any of these, maybe FIRST Robotics is for you. There will be a meeting, pre-season, this Wednesday in room EA109 from 3:30 to 4:30. No experience necessary, just the willingness to learn, have fun and be part of a team.  If you are interested but cannot make the meeting, Call 651-306-7110, e-mail [email protected] or stop by Mr. Fisher's room and let him know.

Seniors-This is a reminder that the Yearbook needs key information from you for the Yearbook. The main things needed are your senior photo, baby photo, and your senior quote. All of these things are due  December 1st.
