Donations and Volunteers Needed: 6th Grade Party
The IGH Middle School PTSA is planning the 6th Grade Party for November 11th, 2022 and we need YOUR help! The success of the party is reliant on volunteers to staff the party and ticket selling, as well as donations of gift cards for prizes. Please be on the lookout for further communication about the party.
Here’s how you can help:
Volunteer at the event -- we need about 30 people to make this event happen! It is actually fun (and an added bonus you get to embarrass your kid!)
Not able to volunteer that night? That's ok too - you can help out by sending in gift cards for us to raffle off!
*You can donate $5 gift cards from area businesses (Please drop off in the office in an envelope labeled "6th grade party")
*Donate money to be used to purchase gift certificates (Please drop off in the office in an envelope labeled "6th grade party")

The Inver Grove Heights Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association will have our next meeting on Tuesday, October 25th at 6:30 in the IMC (Library). Please join us to learn about what we do and how you can get involved.

Want to try wrestling before the season begins? Coach Ben Kissling is running a free clinic for 6th and 7th grade boys and girls on October 27th and 28th after school. See the flyer for more information and contact Coach Kissling at [email protected] with any questions.

The City of Inver Grove Heights is hosting a FREE Winter Outdoor Clothing Swap on Wed, October 26
- Date/Time: Wednesday, October 26, 4:30-7:30pm
- Event description: Stop by the Winter Clothing Swap to exchange gently used winter clothing with other community members for FREE! It’s a great way to clear out your closet and refresh it for no cost. The event is open to all ages and all items are free to swap. Accepted Items: New or gently used adult’s or children's coats, boots, snow pants, hats, mittens and scarves. Items must be clean and in good condition. More info at www.ighmn.gov/collectionevents.
- Location: VMCC, 8055 Barbara Avenue, IGH. Community Room 1 (Enter Door E)
Tryouts for the Winter Competitive Dance Team will be the week of October 24th. Practice on Monday, October 24th is from 5:30-6:45pm and 7-8:15pm, and practice on Tuesday, October 25th from 4-5:15pm. Tryout announcements and team placement will be on Tuesday, October 25th starting at 5:30pm. All practices will take place in the high school dance room. Please register for tryouts online using the link or the QR code on the tryout signs.

Parents and Guardians- Attendance Notification News!
We now have an ATTENDANCE EMAIL. Parents/Guardians, you can now use email to notify IGHMS about student absences.
Please email us at [email protected]. Please make sure to add your students name, grade, and the reason for the absence. These emails can only come from the legal parent/guardians listed in Campus.
If preferred, parents and guardians can still call the attendance line at 651-306-7878.

Dear Parents & Families of School District 199 Students in Grades K-8,
All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult to sports events. Any student not accompanied by an adult will be turned away at the door.
