Today, October 18th the soccer boosters have set up a fundraiser at Inver Grove Brewing Co.  If you are looking for a bite to eat before or after conferences, head to IGB!  Between 3-9pm they will donate 10% of all dine in or take out sales back to the Simley Soccer Boosters!

A few important reminders if you're attending the Career Connect career fair today: 

  • No backpacks allowed! Please leave your backpack in your locker or make arrangements to leave it with a teacher while you're gone. 
  • If you need a lunch, you'll need to go pick one up in the cafeteria after 3rd hour and will be able to eat in the Spartan Center. 
  • The bus will leave promptly at 11:45 AM from the front of the school- don't be late! 
Juniors who plan to take the PSAT on October 25th- you must register for the exam through the Infinite Campus store. The exam is $21 and the deadline to register is Sunday, October 23rd.  

The Simley Girls Swim & Dive hosted the True Team 4A Sections this past weekend. The Spartans competed against challenging teams like Visitation, Mahtomedi and Cretin-Derham Hall and held their own by placing 5th as a team.  The 400 Free Relay achieved their Best Time for the season!

Placing in the Top 16 are the following athletes:

CLAIRE SPIEWAK - 14th place 500 Free & 15th place 200 Free

MADELINE NGO - 4th place 100 Back & 10th place 200 IM

Have we got the perfect day for you!  This Saturday, October 22 head on over to the Moose Lodge and support the Simley Girls Swim & Dive Team at their Taco Feed Fundraiser!  Saturday, October 22 from 3:00-7:00pm at the South St. Paul Lodge 1088, Loyal Order of the Moose.

Reminder-Weight Room will be closed after School due to Conferences

Due to the short school week, all students that pick up Every Meal food bags should grab them today in Ms. Holt's office, WA 200.  Please come during the day in your free time or immediately after school.

Repeat Announcements: Reminder-Blankets are not allowed to be worn at school for health and safety reasons.  Students are encouraged to dress in layers as some learning spaces vary in temperature.

The first math team practice will be held Monday, October 24 at 7:50 and 3:25.  You only need to attend one time.  It is not too late to sign up.

AP exam registration begins today! AP students will be receiving registration information from their AP teachers this week. Students must have a College Board account and enter their class join code AND pay for the exam on the Infinite Campus store to have an exam ordered for them. Deadline is Friday, November 4th, no exceptions.  

Tryouts for the Winter Competitive Dance Team will be the week of October 24th. Practice on Monday, October 24th is from 5:30-6:45pm and 7-8:15pm, and practice on Tuesday, October 25th from 4-5:15pm. Tryout announcements and team placement will be on Tuesday, October 25th starting at 5:30pm. All practices will take place in the high school dance room. Please register for tryouts online using the link or the QR code on the tryout signs.
Thank you to all of the students that attended the Fall Recognition Awards.  If you qualified for an award and were unable to attend, please stop into the main office any time to pick up your award. 

Basketball Open Gym - Must present Student ID at door to attend. Students without Simley ID's will not be able to enter the gym. Open Gym is only for Simley students only.

Bus Drivers Needed! ISD 199 is looking for more bus drivers and bus driver subs! Before and after school shifts are available, 4 hours per day are guaranteed, up to $23.25 per hour plus paid training, and full benefits at 25 hours per week. Learn more and apply at www.isd199.org/careers.
