The IGHMS PTSA's FIRST Dine Out Night of the 2022-2023 school year is tomorrow!!!! Join us at Inver Grove Brewing Co on Tuesday, October 4th, between 3:00-9:00 PM. 10% of all online, dine in, merch and crowler and growler sales will be donated to IGHMS PTSA to help with our mission to support our amazing teachers and resilient students.

Simley Lacrosse Gertens holiday fundraising site is live. Please support the program by sharing the info below with family and friends. All selling is online through a custom site. We receive 30% of sales from plants/greens and 15% from plant cards. This is a great opportunity to raise funds.
To access the site and place an order for the fundraiser:
- Go to www.gertensfundraising.com
- Enter the Store ID code for Simley Lacrosse Boosters: 487 into the text field and click ‘Enter ID to Continue’.
The site is currently open and will close at 10 PM on Thursday, October 20.
A Communitywide Reading Event

Join the Inver Grove Heights community in celebrating these books with a variety of free programs at Inver Glen Library to support the book's themes:
“The Most Beautiful Thing"
Saturday, Oct. 8, 9:30–10:30 a.m.
Hear author Kao Kalia Yang discuss her children's book “The Most Beautiful Thing," a story drawn from her childhood experience as a Hmong refugee. Geared for children 3 and older with their families.
“Somewhere in the Unknown World"
Tuesday, Oct. 11, 6–7 p.m.
Join Kao Kalia Yang as she discusses her book “Somewhere in the Unknown World," a collection of 14 different stories of refugees who found new lives in the Twin Cities. Geared for adults.

Inver Grove Heights Reads Events
The first event is tonight! Join Dr. Katie Nelson, Professor of Anthropology and specialist in migration at Inver Hills Community College, at Migrants and Refugees 101 to discuss immigrant contributions in Minnesota and the ways in which we can all be considered migrants. This program is for people ages 16 and older.

We now have an ATTENDANCE EMAIL. Parents/Guardians, you can now use email to notify IGHMS about student absences.
Please email us at [email protected]. Please make sure to add your students name, grade, and the reason for the absence. These emails can only come from the legal parent/guardians listed in Campus.
If preferred, parents and guardians can still call the attendance line at 651-306-7878.

All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult to sports events. Any student not accompanied by an adult will be turned away at the door.
