The Simley Girls Swim and Dive Team had an explosive meet against South St. Paul to earn a win during Homecoming Week!  The Spartans crushed the Packers with a score of 117 to 68.  The team picked events out of a hat for their line-up and were so strong in their off-events that they went exhibition in the last 3 events.

On Thursday, Sep. 29th the Simley Cross Country teams traveled to the northwest metro to race at Elm Creek Park in Maple Grove. Due to the low amounts of rain this year the course was a bit more dry and less grassy than usual, but the Spartans competed well none the less. Leading the way for the girls was Megan Gullerud who finished 5th in a time of 19:45. Abi Lindquist was 22nd for the girls. On the boys side Homecoming Court nominee Kaiden Schrandt finished 17th in a time of 17:25, then Tyler Ngo in 18:54.

The girls finished 13th in a field of 17 teams while the boys were 19th. Full results can be found at Mtec Results.
