NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS 

Remember this week is Homecoming, here are the dress up days as follows :

  • Wednesday: Pajama Day
  • Thursday: Throwback Thursday / Decade Day
  • Friday Spartan Spirit Day

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday October 1st 6:30-9:30pm in the cafeteria.  Tickets will be on sale today, Wednesday and Thursday during all 3 lunches.  Tickets are $5 this week and $10 at the door.  Guest contract forms are in the counseling office with Ms. Jaco and must be completed and turned in by Thursday 9/29.  DCTC and Lunch Release Students may purchase your tickets in the Activities Office from 1:30-3:30.

 

College visits are starting this week! Juniors and seniors are highly encouraged to attend these important visits! Attend a meeting to learn about different college options, connect with our specific college reps, and get application tips and admission insight. The Senior Panoramic Photo will be taken TOMORROW (Sept. 28th) at 11:55am. Order forms were included in the Back To School Packets. Online ordering information will be posted in student’s Schoology accounts under updates.

Due to math teacher training today, math tutoring will not be available hours 3 and 5.  There will still be tutoring hours 2, 4 and 7.



Repeat Announcements
:

Student chromebooks have a fan for cooling on the bottom of the device.  If you block the fan by having the device sitting on a bed, pillow, or other soft material it will overheat and potentially no longer work.  If that happens, you will be responsible for the repair/replacement of the device.  

Other reminders:  

  • no stickers or other items are to be applied to the device. 
  • no eating or drinking while using the device

The Simley Girls Hockey program is looking for two student team managers for the upcoming season.  If you are interested in being part of a fun environment and joining our team, please contact Coach Tom Patnode at 651-238-5508 or [email protected], by Oct 1.
Seniors with a lunch or study hall release: You must get to your classes on time. Those that come in late from a release, may have these privileges revoked. 

Starting today, all cars in the student parking lot must have a parking permit. See Ms. Sievert if you have not yet received your permit. 

The Senior Panoramics Photo will be taken on Sept. 28th at 11:55am. Ordering information to come soon. 

Interested in Student Council? Our first meeting will be Tuesday, October 4th at 8:00 a.m. in the Student Center. Talk to Ms. Ney or Ms. Hensch with any questions. All are welcome. Attention students:  Food must stay in the cafeteria. Students are not allowed to eat lunch in the common areas or staff offices, and must be in the cafeteria during their lunch times. Seniors with lunch or study hall release must leave campus during the time of their release.

Simley Cross Country is holding a fundraiser event on 10/6 from 4-8pm at the Noodles location in West St. Paul. 25% of all qualifying purchases will go directly to the Cross Country Boosters Club.
Students: Photos and IDs from the August picture day are in! They are available for pick-up in the Assistant Admin’s Office, with Ms. Janice, located next to the nurse’s office. If you were unable to take your photo in August, picture make-up day is September 21st. Re-takes will be on Oct. 26th.

Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club:Do you have a son or daughter in 7th through 12th grade that is interested in bowling for the Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club? Any level of bowler is welcome. If interested, please contact Gary Salzman(coach) at [email protected] for more information.
Bus Drivers Needed! ISD 199 is looking for more bus drivers and bus driver subs! Before and after school shifts are available, 4 hours per day are guaranteed, up to $23.25 per hour plus paid training, and full benefits at 25 hours per week. Learn more and apply at www.isd199.org/careers
