NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS 

Remember this week is Homecoming, here are the dress up days as follows :

  • Monday: Class Colors (Staff: tie-dye, 12th: black, 11th: blue, 10th: red, 9th: white)
  • Tuesday: Jersey Day
  • Wednesday: Pajama Day
  • Thursday: Throwback Thursday / Decade Day
  • Friday Spartan Spirit Day

Voting for Spartan Royalty ends today at 4:30pm.  The link to vote is on each grade level's Schoology page.  Spartan Royalty will be announced at Coronation tonight at 5:30pm in the Main Gym.  Tickets are $3.  

 

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday October 1st 6:30-9:30pm in the cafeteria.  Tickets will be on sale tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday during all 3 lunches.  Tickets are $5 this week and $10 at the door.  Guest contract forms are in the counseling office with Ms. Jaco and must be completed and turned in by Thursday 9/29.  

 

College visits are starting this week! Juniors and seniors are highly encouraged to attend these important visits! Attend a meeting to learn about different college options, connect with our specific college reps, and get application tips and admission insight. Girls tennis had a great tournament in Elk River on Saturday.The team went 2-1 beating Hopkins and Cambridge-isanti and gave a great effort against top ranked in the state Elk River.

Stand out performances came from the singles lineup, Kiera Schmid, Leah Thoemke, Cailynn Thomas and Vannessa Leonard won 8 out of the teams 9 points throughout the day.

Monday, Sept 26th, Please come support your Simley Volleyball teams while enjoying some delicious food at Inver Grove Brewery from 3pm to 9pm.  No Flyer is needed! Inver Grove Brewery will donate a portion of all proceeds during that time to the Simley Volleyball program.  Please come and show your support!

NHS meeting, Tuesday, 9/27, 7:50am.
Student chromebooks have a fan for cooling on the bottom of the device.  If you block the fan by having the device sitting on a bed, pillow, or other soft material it will overheat and potentially no longer work.  If that happens, you will be responsible for the repair/replacement of the device.  

Other reminders:  

  • no stickers or other items are to be applied to the device. 
  • no eating or drinking while using the device

The Simley Girls Hockey program is looking for two student team managers for the upcoming season.  If you are interested in being part of a fun environment and joining our team, please contact Coach Tom Patnode at 651-238-5508 or [email protected], by Oct 1.
Seniors with a lunch or study hall release: You must get to your classes on time. Those that come in late from a release, may have these privileges revoked. 

Starting today, all cars in the student parking lot must have a parking permit. See Ms. Sievert if you have not yet received your permit. 

The Senior Panoramics Photo will be taken on Sept. 28th at 11:55am. Ordering information to come soon. 

Interested in Student Council? Our first meeting will be Tuesday, October 4th at 8:00 a.m. in the Student Center. Talk to Ms. Ney or Ms. Hensch with any questions. All are welcome. Attention students:  Food must stay in the cafeteria. Students are not allowed to eat lunch in the common areas or staff offices, and must be in the cafeteria during their lunch times. Seniors with lunch or study hall release must leave campus during the time of their release.

Simley Cross Country is holding a fundraiser event on 10/6 from 4-8pm at the Noodles location in West St. Paul. 25% of all qualifying purchases will go directly to the Cross Country Boosters Club.
Students: Photos and IDs from the August picture day are in! They are available for pick-up in the Assistant Admin’s Office, with Ms. Janice, located next to the nurse’s office. If you were unable to take your photo in August, picture make-up day is September 21st. Re-takes will be on Oct. 26th.

Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club:Do you have a son or daughter in 7th through 12th grade that is interested in bowling for the Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club? Any level of bowler is welcome. If interested, please contact Gary Salzman(coach) at [email protected] for more information.
