Tri 2 Art Students: Please bring back any art supplies from Trimester 2 and drop them off in Main Office.
The gymnastics team had an awesome conference meet and conference season.  Last week the team came in 3rd place overall and 3rd in the conference placement. Simley scored a season-best of 125.975. 

Varsity Individual place finishers were;
Skyla Ward 5th place on floor
Erin Orn 9th on floor
Alexa Lynner 8th on vault and 10th on bars
It should also be noted that the JV team was 2nd in the Conference and in conference standing! Awesome work Spartan gymnasts!  Good luck at Sections.

Attention Golfers, Spring is Almost Here!!

Hello golfers and golf families! There will be an informational Zoom

meeting for parents and athletes on Monday, March 22nd at 7:00 PM for

any athletes wishing to try out for the boys or girls high school golf

teams. Tryouts are open to any student in grades 7-12. All students

who are interested are encouraged to try out regardless of previous

golf experience. Any interested families should attend the

informational meeting. If interested, please email Kyle Golden

the informational Zoom meeting. We look forward to hearing from you!

Parking Permits for Trimester 3 are available to purchase in SmartSchoolk12 via parent portals. Purchased permits will be given to students once the application has been processed.  Reminder that students are only allowed to park in the Student Lot unless otherwise specified.

Are you a teen or do you have a teen that's looking for part-time or summer employment?  If so, you definitely want to check-out the Virtual Teen Summer Job Fair, March 16th-19th. During this 4 day event, students of all abilities, ages 14+  will be able to search for jobs, apply for jobs, and even meet employers all in a virtual environment. Over 40 local employers will be participating in the event- take advantage of this great opportunity! 
- To participate, go to:  https://bit.ly/2O7zwiS. This is the website employers will use to post their open job positions. You will create an account and register for the event on this page. - Be sure to write down your login! In the future, you will come back to this same site, and use the "Login" button to access the Job Fair and the live, drop-in event.  - Beginning Tuesday, March 16 at 8am, the Job Fair will go live. You can login and view the companies that are hiring, the jobs that are available, and you can even apply for positions! This teen job exploration fair will be open until 9 p.m. on Friday, 3/19. - On Thursday, March 18th from 3:30pm-6:30pm, log in and you will be able to access the Drop-in Virtual Employer Meet-up. This is a live, virtual event where you can connect and talk with companies through live chat, audio and video to ask questions and learn about job opportunities. Employers will be there for a live conversation.

If you received an invitation to apply for National Honor Society, the application deadline is Friday, March 26th at 3:30 P.M. Because some students are on quarantine or in isolation, applications will be accepted in person or via email to Ms. Kimble ([email protected]) or to Ms. Erdman ([email protected]) by the deadline.


Lifetouch Picture Make-Ups/Retakes have been scheduled for the following dates. Seniors in Hybrid: During trimester 3, seniors with study halls at the beginning or the end of the school day may request a study hall release.  If a study hall is the middle of the day, students must remain in that study hall.  Study hall release forms are available in the main office.  Also, there is no lunch release for trimester 3.

Free Meals for All Kids

Inver Grove Heights Schools is providing Free Meal Boxes to ALL children, ages 18 and younger. Families will no longer need to pre-order meals, and any child will be able to pick up a Free Meal Box, whether they are an ISD 199 student or not. 

 

Free Meal Boxes will be available for pick-up at 12 distribution sites, some in the afternoon and some in the evening. Click here for each Free Meal Box site’s day, time, and location.

Comidas gratis para todos los niños

High School Spring Sports start March 29 In order to get your son/daughter registered for sports you need to follow the link below to our new registration site; SmartSchool K12. When you arrive at the home site of the user portal, you will see guides available that will walk you through the registration process and setting up your parent portal, step by step.

When you are connecting your student to your parent account, you will need the STUDENT ID and their DATE OF BIRTH. You WILL NOT use a family key. 

Once you are registered and you have added your student to your account, please make sure to go into your settings and add a "Funding Source". This will allow you to complete your purchases upon checkout. Do not auto-fill this section as it will not work due to security reasons.

Earlier this Fall we had a lot of issues with different browsers when families were registering. Please attempt to use FireFox, as it is the most successful.

Attention all students, it is very important that you are using and checking your school gmail account on a daily basis. Counselors and teachers are sending important emails to your school email accounts and many students are not checking or using that account. Please set you school gmail account so that you are receiving notifications so that you are aware when you have a new school email that you need to read.
