Congratulations to the Simley Girls volleyball team for its Section 3AAA victory over Highland Park last night. As has been the case all season, it took a total team effort to defeat the Scotts in four hard fought sets in a match where the entire roster contributed. The opening set saw the best volleyball on both sides of the net with the Spartans prevailing with some of the best defense and hustle that has been a trademark this season. After a comfortable win in the second set, Highland Park refused to let its season end and took a close third set when the ball would not bounce Simley’s way. Leading all the way in the final set, the Spartans stood up to the final Scotts charge and close out the match with a nail-biting 25-23 victory sending the squad to Eagan on Thursday to face the #1 ranked and undefeated Wildcats.

Attention all Simley HS volleyball players who played on the 9th grade through varsity teams this fall. Please come to the main gym TODAY immediately after school to quickly vote on post season awards for your teams and to turn in any uniforms if you have not done so already. Thank you.

All boys and girls varsity Soccer players will have a pizza party and uniform return TODAY,  Wednesday, October 23rd after school. Girls are to go to Coach Austin’s classroom and the boys are to go to the Spartan Center. Congratulations to both teams for a great season!!
