Attention all current AP students: We will holding drawings again this year for free AP exams. All you need to do to be in the drawing is to register and pay for your exams in Total Registration.  

 

We will be giving away one free AP exam each week leading up to the AP exam registration deadline of November 1st. 

 

The first drawing for a free AP exam will be Tomorrow at the end of the school day. All students that have registered for exams by the end of the day on Tuesday will be in the drawing, so hurry up and get registered for your AP exams! 

 

Seniors! Reminder that the FAFSA Completion Event is tomorrow from 5:30-7:30 in the Spartan Center. Financial Aid Officers will be on site to provide a brief overview of paying for college and then the remainder of the time will be open to work on the FAFSA (free application for federal student aid) and ask questions. Remember, to be considered for any kind of financial aid for college, you must complete the FAFSA. Please see the Simley College and Career website for more information and what to bring to the event and see Ms. Kimble with any questions! 

 

Congratulations to both the boys and girls soccer teams for their wins on Saturday!   The girls beat Trinity 1-0 and the boys beat Nova Academy 6-1. Both teams will advance to the Section 3A semifinals. Come out and cheer them on!  Girls play Tuesday at 5 pm at Visitation Boys play Tuesday at 7 pm VS. Cristo Rey Jesuit at HOME

 

 

 

Attention Seniors:  If you have not scheduled a time to meet with your counselor, please do this as soon as possible.  We want to make sure you have all the resources you need during your final year at Simley as well as support you with post high school planning.  We will also gather information to order your graduation cap and gown & diploma. Appointments may be made with your counselor directly from the Simley web page.  

 

All Night Party Planning Committee

Will be meeting today at 6:30 PM at the Simley IMC, to begin planning the 2020 All Night Party.   We need several committee chairs and volunteers. If you want to help out but are unable to attend please email Jane Difronzo to be added to the communication list, [email protected] 


Congratulations to the Simley Girls Volleyball team for its excellent performance at the Benilde-St. Margaret's tournament over the weekend. The Spartans defeated DeLaSalle and Mahtomedi to open the day and then gave highly ranked and top seeded Centennial all it wanted in the semifinals losing 15-12 in the third set. Playing more sets than any other team in the tourney, the Spartans then dug down deep in yet another three-set match to defeat  Section AA state tournament bound New Life Academy with a combination of solid offense and stingy defense against two outstanding outside hitters to capture third place.


Upcoming College Visits:A representative from the following college will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center.

The Girls Swim & Dive Team hosted a fast True Team Sections Meet this past weekend.  The Spartans had a Great meet against teams they only see at Sections. They placed at their highest, earning 4th place and more points compared to past years.

Interested in joining the Simley Alpine Ski Team? There will be a informational meeting next Tuesday, October 22nd, at 6:30 in the Spartan Center for all students and their parents.

Attention Parents - If you are calling in to report an absence and would like to go directly to the Attendance line, please call 651-306-7010.  


ATTN Seniors: If you ordered a senior panoramic photo, they are available in the Guidance Office for pick-up. Please see Ms. Wang. There is a limited number of extra copies at a cost of $17 per photo.



Interested in joining the 2019-2020 Simley Dance Team? Winter Competitive Team tryouts will take place on Monday, October 21st from 5:30-6:30pm & 6:45-7:45pm and Tuesday, October 22nd from 5:30-6:30pm. Grades 7-12 are welcome to tryout. Looking for a quiet place to study after school? Link Leaders will be available to help you study, organize your thoughts, or just be a great support system after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:00 in the Student Center. Come get some studying help! 



Seniors, if you did not receive a yellow yearbook to do list at the panoramic photo, please see Ms. Hensch. Senior photos, baby photos, and the senior survey are all due by December 1st. Send photos to [email protected]


 

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
