Attention all students: This is the last week of open parking. Starting next week, all students who are parked on campus must have a parking pass from the main office.  Parking is not permitted in the staff lot, unless you have been issued a special pass.



This Friday, September 20th is Picture Make-up Day.  This is for students who were unable to take their photo during orientation day.  Pictures will be taken in the morning by last name, so please make sure you are listening to the announcements.  Retakes will be at a later date.


Tonight's coronation events begin at 6:30pm in the main gym.  Cost is $3, no passes are allowed. Powderpuff & tug of war to follow the coronation ceremony.

If you are interested in joining Student Council, there will be an informational meeting this Thursday, September 19 at 8:00 a.m. in the Student Center. If you take the bus, come to the Student Center when you arrive at school. Student Council plans a fall food drive, winter dance, and other charitable activities throughout the year. All grades and students are welcome to join. Sign up at the meeting on Thursday. We hope to see you there. 




Are you interested in getting involved this year, meeting new people, and experiencing a different culture? Join the German Club! We will have our first meeting this Friday morning at 8:10am in Mr. Mitchell's room, EA 203. Come see what it's all about. All students grades 9-12 are welcome.




Interested in joining International Club? The first meeting will be on Friday, September 20th at 8:15am in Ms. Reyes' room (WA111). All are welcome!


Theatre starts in full swing this week rehearsals start today Monday, September 16th there will be a Parent Meeting Thursday, September19th night at 5:30 p.m. for parents of students involved in theatre. Tech will start Thursday after school at 3:45pm. Students interested in tech should report to the PAC at 3:30. Tech will be open for 6th through 12th grade and we will run tech 3:45 to 5:30 Monday thru Friday every week.



Seniors -- Forgot to order your Senior Panoramic Picture? Orders will be accepted through Friday, September 20. Please give your order form to Ms. Wang in the Guidance Office.



If you didn't pick up your school photos last Friday, please pick them up in the guidance office as soon as possible.



Congratulations to the Simley Soccer Boys Varsity program for an outstanding team performance Saturday as they battled out a 3-2 victory over Bloomington Kennedy  improving their record to 8-0-0. The JV team came home with a 0-0 tie!


 


Lifetouch will be here after school tomorrow, Tuesday, September 17 to take pictures for 9th Grade & JV/Varsity Football. Order forms are available in the office or pictures may be ordered at https://order.lifetouchsports.com/index.cfm?event=OrderHome&contractID=168484

Tickets will go on sale TODAY,  Monday, 9/16 during all lunches. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.  If you would like to bring a guest from another school, a guest contract must be filled out & signed by the administrator at the guest’s school. Guest forms are available in the Guidance office.  GUEST FORMS ARE DUE IN BY WEDNESDAY, 9/18.

Tickets are $6 for Adults & $4 for Students. Senior Citizens 60+ are free. 

Fall high school athletes are free.

NO BACKPACKS OR OUTSIDE FOOD MAY BE BROUGHT IN TO THE STADIUM

Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Sports  passes will be sold at the game:

*Football Family Pass - $50

*Football Adult Pass - $40

*Family All Sports Pass includes all home games except Hockey & Sections - $110

A representative from the following colleges will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center

What is the Simley Trap Club Team? A clay target shooting sport team that has a spring sports schedule starting April 1st. All Students in 7-12 grade who possess their MN DNR Firearms Safety Certificate are eligible to participate on the team. Faculty, Parents and Potential Students are welcome to come to a Trap Demo this Saturday between 10:00 am to 11:15 am at the SSP Gun Club, 600 Gun Club Road, SSP. Field 1 or 2 likely. Meet the team coach Paul Tinucci and team manager Shawn Ockwig, observe a demonstration, check out the equipment needed, gather information and schedule requirements, etc. If you have a MN DNR FAS, you could try your skill with our coaches and equipment.
