This is a reminder to all AP student to register for your AP exams. The next drawing for a free exam will be this Friday.  If you win the free exam, you will be reimbursed for the exam, so still plan to pay for your exams when you register. Register soon and good luck!




Congratulations to the Boys’ Swimming & Diving team for their award winning performances last night at the JV Championships.  Medal winners were: Gustavo Cardenas won 1st place in the 200 free & took 6th in the 100 fly; Zackory Illetschko took 5th in the 200 free; Albert Mansour took 3rd in the 200 IM & took 4thin the 100 breaststroke; Lucas McMonigal took 5th in the 200 IM;  Hunter Dilla took 6th in the 50 free & took 4th in the 100 free; Austin Penttila took 2nd in the diving; Ethan Gregg took 4th in the 100 fly; Hunter Collins took 6th in the 100 free; Austin Illetschko took 3rd in the 500 free; John Tabor took 6th in the 500 free; Kayden Carriere took 8th in the 500 free; and Aiden P’Simer took 5thin the 100 back.  The team of Austin Illetschko, Albert Mansour, Ethan Gregg, and Hunter Collins took 2n din the 200 Medley Relay, the team of Hunter Dilla, Ethan Gregg, Gustavo Cardenas, and Austin Illetschko took 2nd in the 200 Free Relay, and the team of Hunter Dilla, Albert Mansour, Gustavo Cardenas, and Hunter Collins took 2nd in the 400 Free Relay.  The Spartans next meet is Sections next Wednesday, Thursday & Friday at the Rochester Community Center.



The Simley All Night Party Committee will meet TONIGHT, Wednesday, 2/13 night at 6:30 p.m.  outside of the Simley IMC.




Seniors, TOMORROW is the last day to turn in your baby photos, senior photos, and senior surveys if you want to be in the senior section of the yearbook. Photos should be sent to [email protected]. See Ms. Hensch if you have any questions.



 

Upcoming College Visits:

A representative from the following colleges will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center.

Attention Parents - If you are calling in to report an absence and would like to go directly to the Attendance line, please call 651-306-7010.  



Attention Students - Wearing of hats or hoods is not allowed during the school day.  If you have any questions, please see an administrator.



REMINDER  - The IMC, the Student Center and the Spartan Center are closed all of 5th hour. You must stay in the cafeteria during your lunch period.



Attention all boys interested in playing Lacrosse this spring, please plan to attend a preseason meeting on Tuesday, February 26th in the Cafeteria.

* 6pm for 8th/9th grade & NEW players and parents

Teens for Jeans Drive -   February 4 - February 22

22nd!!  Donate any size, gently used jeans for homeless shelters in the IGH community. Please drop the jeans off in the donation box located in the Guidance office.




Guest contracts for the Snowball dance which will be on Saturday, February 23rd are available in Ms. Wang's office. Guest tickets will not be sold until contracts are signed by Ms. Klukas. They are due back on or before Wednesday, February 20.

 


Simley Trap Shooting Spring 2019 Key Dates and Information

Registration for the 2019 Spring Trap season will be open on Feb. 8th. Trap is open to all 7th-12th Grade Simley Students.

Below are some key dates for Returning or New athletes:

Friday, March 8th: Team Registration Deadline

Saturday, March 9th:            Pre –Season Primer and Lifetouch Photo event SSP Gun Club (More time specific details to follow)

Monday, April 1st :    Start of the Season

Saturday  April 13th:              Last day to complete Required Minnesota DNR Firearms Safety Certificate Field day(New Athletes)

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
