Attention all 10th, 11th and 12th grade students!

Inver Grove Heights Middle School is look for 30 more leaders for their annual 7th grade Courage Retreat. This is a great opportunity to practice your leadership and communication skills. You must have a desire to help kids and have high energy! You also must be in good standing in all classes (C or higher grades) and no behavior or attendance concerns.  Finally, you must commit to interacting with middle school students rather than each other.

The retreat takes place on Friday, February 1 from 7:30 am – 2:30 pm.

If you are interested, please stop by the counseling office to pick up a permission slip. All permissions slips are due to Ms. Wang by January 24.

This Friday is Club Photo Day. Please check with your club advisor to see when your club photo is scheduled. Photos will be taken in Spartan Center.

The Simley girls basketball team played a great game both offensively and defensively against Tartan last night. All the girls lead the team at different times. Sydney, Tiwaah and Nikole had double digit scoring with 16, 13 and 11 points. Chomp added 8 points just in the 1st half. Zareia finished with 5 points, but dropped some dimes to her teammates for easy buckets. Bonita, Erin and Abby all provided great minutes. The final score was 62-50 with the Spartans getting the win.  Simley will play Hill Murray on Friday here at home at 7 p.m. and it will be a big game, so come out and support the Spartans!
