Attention all DCTC students: Due to the half day of school next Friday, There will not be a bus out to DCTC. You are excused from your DCTC class on that day.
Homecoming Coronation, Pregame Events and Powder Puff is TONIGHT at 6 p.m. The cost to get in is $3.
Homecoming Dance Tickets are on sale during all lunches this week!
The Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday, October 7th from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
If you are bringing a guest from another school, you must have a guest contract completed to purchase their ticket. The guest contracts are available in the Guidance Office. They are due back no later than Wednesday, October 4. You will not be allowed to purchase a guest ticket until the form is filled out completely and signed by Ms. Klukas.
Seniors - There will be Common Application seminar in the Career Center on Wednesday from 7:15-7:45 for those who need assistance on the Common App or just aren’t sure where to start!
COLLEGE VISITS
University of Minnesota Rochester will be visiting today, Monday October 2nd at 9:30 AM
St. Olaf College will be visiting Wednesday, October 4th at 9:30 AM
Kansas City Art Institute will be visiting Wednesday, October 4th during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd hours with 3rd hour focusing on art portfolios.
See Ms. Kimble in the Career Center to sign-up for any college rep visits.

Want to be part of a FUN winning team? The BOYS SWIMMING AND DIVING Middle School & High School teams are having a short Informational MEETING on Tues. Oct. 10th at 2:45 p.m. in *Middle School lunchroom* The teams are open to all boys 6-12th grade. This meeting is a chance to meet the team and coaches and get all the paperwork your son will need to join a school sport. The Boys Swimming & Diving Season is a winter sport and begins Monday, Nov. 27th. NOTE: this meeting is for the athletes. Parents are more than welcome to attend, but they do not need to attend this meeting. There is a parent’s meeting scheduled for Dec. 5th. Interested in joining the 2017-2018 Simley Dance Team? Winter Competitive Team tryout practices will take place on Monday, October 23rd and Tuesday, October 24th from 4:00-5:00pm & 5:15-6:15pm. Tryouts and team announcements will take place on Tuesday, October 24th after practice from 6:30-7:30pm. If you are currently in grades 7-12, you are welcome to tryout. Mandatory Boy's Lacrosse Player/Parent Meeting for 2018
Thursday, November 9th, at 7pm in the Spartan Center.
If you are planning on/interested in playing lacrosse this Spring, you must attend.
We will provide important information for the 2018 Spring season, as well as our new Summer Training Program, and Fall League.
Fall Academic Awards-If you were unable to attend the ceremony Monday night, you can pick up your award in the main office.
Student Parking Lot- Only students with a Simley parking pass are able to park in the student lot. If you do not have a pass, you must park off campus. Students found parked in the lot with a pass may be ticketed, booted etc. See Ms. Sievert in the main office if you have questions.
Attention Boys hockey players:
Bring a check written to the BLC on the first day. Fall ice is for any 9-12 grader, regardless if they are trying out for the high school team.

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
