Students performed at Gramercy Park Co-op and Brookdale Assisted Living. Both the students and audience very much enjoyed the shows. Some residents even sang and danced along with the music.

Before their performances, the marching band worked hard during 12 days of band camp at the end of July and beginning of August.

“I am proud of what they have been able to accomplish this season despite a global pandemic. Social distancing outside is normal for us in most instances, but we still had to make changes with no indoor rehearsal time and less close movements within our show,” Simley Band Director Kevin Robinson said. “Our group is very young this year with amazing upperclass leaders. I could not be more amazed at what these students have created. Together we are better!”

The Simley Marching Band has another weekend of performances scheduled after Labor Day and possibly another community performance. Stay tuned for more information.
