The Inver Grove Heights School Board met on Monday, October 28, with the following items on the agenda:

District Highlights

  • ISD 199 Superintendent Dave Bernhardson provided information about this year’s ISD 199 Student Advisory Council and talked about the topics that members would discuss in future meetings.

Information items

  • Salem Hills Elementary School and Atheneum Gifted Magnet Program Principal Tina Willette gave an update on the school’s progress from last school year and its goals for this school year.
  • ISD 199 Director of Learning Teajai Anderson Schmidt presented an update on enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year.
  • Director Anderson Schmidt and ISD 199 Director of Student Services Mary Garrison presented an update on assessment data from MCAs and the ACT.
  • Superintendent Bernhardson presented on the first reading of district policies.
  • ISD 199 Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and Board Clerk Tracy Lautt gave an update on the upcoming November 5, 2019, School Board Election.

In observance of Veterans Day on November 11, the work session will be Tuesday, November 12, at 5:30 PM at the ISD 199 District Office, 2990 80th Street East in Inver Grove Heights. The next regular board meeting will be on Monday, November 25, at 5:30 PM and will be held at Inver Grove Heights Middle School, 8167 Cahill Avenue in Inver Grove Heights.
